The Department of Communication at Saint Louis University is excited to
announce that it has multiple assistantships for Fall, 2010. If you, or
someone you know, are considering graduate school this could be an
excellent opportunity to fund an education while earning a Masters' degree in
an outstanding program. Deadline for full consideration is February 15,
2010. Please contact the Graduate Director if you need additional time for
application submission.
The Department of Communication's Graduate program is designed to let
students explore and expand their knowledge and understanding of the
discipline. Students look at issues from theoretical, ethical and critical
lenses, giving them a wider perspective and a deeper understanding of a
broad range of material. In addition, the Department has add 5 new faculty
and the below facilities in the past two years.
* State-of-the-Art Graphic Design Studio
* Computer Labs for both Mac and PC
* Audio/Video Studio
* Multimedia Production Studio
* Student Collaboration Center
* Interview and Research Rooms, and
* Smart Presentation Room
The Communication Graduate program attracts students from a variety of
backgrounds to further their academic, professional and personal growth.
Upon completion, students go on to employment in a variety of occupations
including academics, public relations, human resources, development,
advertising, education and journalism.
The Department of Communication offers graduate assistantships each year
for teaching, research and professional endeavors. Individual assignments
are made based upon the applicant's background and experience. We award
assistantships on a yearly basis and normally only to students who enter our
program during a fall semester. Assistants typically work 20 hours a week in
their assigned area, receive a tuition waiver, stipend, and health insurance for
the contract period.
