[US](Civil Engineering)RA position - Clemson University

We are looking for applicants, expected to start soon, from the United States for a National Science Foundation funded project.

One Ph.D. research assistant position is available immediately in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in the department of Civil Engineering at Clemson University, South Carolina, USA. The position will involve working in the development of the next generation plug-in hybrid electric vehicles with ITS capabilities.

Skills Required:
· Programming Skill (C++ or Matlab or any other programming languages)
· Some background in Automotive Engineering and Computer Networking is preferable.
· Excellent background in advanced mathematics.
· Not necessary to have a Civil Engineering BS/MS degree. However, must have an engineering degree.
· Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence is useful, however, not required.

Project Description:
Work will include computer simulation and field tests of different Intelligent Transportation System applications, such as Plug-in Hybrid Electrical Vehicles, Vehicle Infrastructure Integration (VII), and advanced traffic management and control systems.
